Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday

As a business and a family, we have two mission organizations near and dear to our hearts; Lighthouse Operators and Teen Mission Jasper County.

Lighthouse Operators was formed in 2021 to support a missionary couple, Ryan and Sarah Smith of Francesville, Indiana.

If they look mighty young to you, that's because they are-neither have reached the ripe old age of 25 yet.  However, they began traveling on mission trips in their teens and were hooked.  They've been all over this country, from Alaska to Texas to Florida to New York cleaning and rebuilding homes after natural disasters.

They also help build safehouses for human trafficking victims.

A camper was generously donated to them last year so they can be on location wherever they're needed on very little notice.
They partner with Eight Days of Hope and are gone about six months out of the year.  Ryan and Sarah may look familiar to you from here, and that just may be why they're our favorite missionaries!  You can support them through PayPal with the email lighthouseoperators@gmail.com.  Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
Teen Mission Jasper County was formed in 2010 when a couple churches started working together to love our neighbors by completing small construction and cleaning jobs-including labor and materials-completely free of charge.  Over the years, we have built porches, wheelchair ramps,
raised beds for vegetable growing,
painted playgrounds and houses (inside and out)
 lots of landscaping projects
and hosted a mobile food pantry/community day in a local park.
Yes, residents of our community benefit from all these projects from beautification to mobilization and meeting other physical needs.  The volunteers, from the youngest child in daycare whose parents are giving of their time to the teens who give up a week of their summer and reap no monetary rewards to the kitchen crew that feeds this small army to the board who meets year round to plan all the seemingly endless details, reap rewards of fellowship, learning, growing and service.
Over the years, more churches have joined in the effort.  As the number of participants has grown, so has the number of projects.  Teen Mission's greatest need is funds for materials, gas for vehicles used to transport teams (which we call families) and food.  You can donate in two ways:  send funds through PayPal to hopecommunity08@gmail.com, designating funds for Teen Mission Jasper County or order this bundle, and proceeds will be given to TMJC.
Thank you for partnering in support with us of these worthy causes.  They may be local to us, but they mean the world of difference to the people we serve!
Happy Giving,
Jody
