When asked to describe herself and her artistic journey, she gave us all the buzz:

"My name is Liana; I'm 31 years old, and I'm the proud owner of Lee's Bakery. I am an innovative cookie creator/designer celebrating the gift God has given me through the art of cookie decorating while reflecting all the glory back to God. I am currently located in Northern California, where the love of my life is proudly serving as a cop in the United States Air Force. I am a stay-at-home mom of 2 precious boys and a beautiful daughter.

My cookie decorating journey all started from an answered prayer when I cried out to God begging him and pleading with him to please give me something that made me feel like I was more than "just a mom." I absolutely adore my kids and I am so blessed to be a stay-at-home mom; all the cookie decorating in the world could never fill the important role I have taken on of being their caretaker, molding my children to be God's faithful servants, but it can feel isolating at times even more so when I have struggled with depression and anxiety for 13 years since I lost my husband in Afghanistan on Nov 4, 2010.

After that prayer, I noticed God starting to answer all I had prayed for in sequence. Bringing my kids friends, helping me be a better homemaker, and of course revealing sugar cookies to me. I have always enjoyed baking and I have been baking for 11 years, but it was my first time ever discovering sugar cookie decorating and I knew right then and there that this is what God had brought to me. I had such peace in my spirit to immediately launch my own business and to start creating upon which the blessings just continually flow and I'm so grateful.

I hope to do several things aside from my cookie decorating, including launching my own line of scribes, teaching classes, designing cutters and so much more. Something that is so satisfying about cookie decorating is mixing beautiful colors and just seeing your vision come to life, and of course, seeing others get enjoyment from something I created. One thing that is the least satisfying about cookie decorating is the clean-up afterward and mixing stiff consistency for flowers . It makes my wrist hurt!

A fun fact about me is that I am left-handed, so I have to adapt when I pipe florals because it is more catered to right-handed people. (Who knew they made left-handed piping tips!?) I am so grateful and humbled for all the encouragement and love that has been poured into me on this short but incredible cookie decorating journey. I am excited to continue to create artwork and push the boundaries of cookie decorating for the whole world to see."

Thanks for sharing your story and your talents with us, Liana!!
