What The Flip?

What The Flip?

Unleashing Creativity

A trend that has gained traction in recent times is the art of "flipping" cookie cutters which involves using them in unconventional ways to create unique and unexpected designs. Instead of using the cutter as intended, bakers flip it over, allowing them to explore playful shapes that defy traditional expectations.  For example, a football helmet can be flipped to be a bowl of noodles with chopsticks, a cereal bowl with a spoon and more.

A Family Affair

Flipping cookie cutters can also be a delightful activity for the whole family. Parents and children can come together in the kitchen, each contributing their ideas for unique cookie designs. This collaborative process not only strengthens familial bonds but also provides a platform for children to express their creativity and gain confidence in their artistic abilities.

Other Ideas

In addition to flipping, cutters can be used for designs other than their original intention.  Cookie artist Korey played with variations on a theme between Easter and baby shower cookie cutters to create a Peter Rabbit set that will be the delight of a very special one-year-old's birthday!

Look what happened when she put it all together!!

What Will You Do?

Heather commented on our Facebook page recently, "The school bus could be repurposed as a “among us” character easily. I don’t know why I thought of that but I always think it’s cool when someone uses one cutter for many different things. 😁"

We would love to see your creations!!  Email your ideas to jody@familycookiecutters.com!
