With a little creativity and planning, you can create an out-of-this-world experience that your child and guests will never forget.
Planning the Party
"Launch the theme (pun intended) with a space or planet-themed invitation. There are tons of printable and online invitations available for a space-themed party." (tootris.com), buy them premade or make them yourself.
When decorating, transform your party space into a space station by hanging stars, planets, and rockets. Two-year-olds love to get in on the action, and a rocket just for them is sure to please.
You can add space-themed balloons and streamers, color coordinate plates, napkins, tablecloths and banners.
It's Party Time!
Keep your guests entertained with space-themed activities like rocket launches, alien attacks, and comet making. You can use a toy rocket launcher to provide entertainment for the kids, and have them make their own comets using materials like baking soda and vinegar.
Serve space-themed food like meteorite meatballs, galaxy biscuits and grarvy or planet pizzas. You can also make galaxy cookies using food coloring and edible glitter to create a cosmic effect. Our friend Liana of My Gifts His Glory had out-of-this-world results!
Have fun being creative with the space theme from invitations to decorations to food, your family and friends will have some great memories to take home!
